Been reading lots of these threads on lithium batteries.
Are they now safe to use with an OEM charging system? Not sure if the yamaha system can kick out over 15 volts

How many of you now lithium batteries with an OEM yamaha charging system?
Want to run one with my DASA 1200 and Yamaha stock electrics.
In the early days read about them catching fire etc... Is this safe to use now as they as so bloody light.
The rear piston has been hitting more than the front. The dome and piston have both chamfered them self where it’s been hitting on the exhaust port side of the piston.
It’s quite hard to see from the pics but the chamfer on the front of the piston is where it’s been hitting the edge of the dome.
Ive not pulled crank yet but you can feel the play in the piston so maybe it’s was about to go bang and the play let it hit the dome.
Yep 61x std sleeve is max 84mm. This has already had big bore sleeves fitted. Currently 85.5 mm pistons but is a bit worn out…
Im not convinced the guy who built it new exactly what he was doing… the dome is a machined 84.5mm 760 dome but they didn’t open it up to 85.5/86 so it looks like it’s...
Thanks for all the comments guys. I’ve just bought the straight version of the pitch components trim :-) I love how the hull rides now so may have regretted buying an upswept version.
changeable rings in the exit and steering nozzle as well. Suck a nice bit of kit.

Thanks for the reply. I had an upswept on a ski many moons ago and always remember having to push the nose down till it was on the plane.
Sounds like maybe sticking with a straight nozzle will be best for me

I have a xfs comp with a dasa 1200 and a 160 Maxx pump.
looking to get a new trim system. Currently running the rrp trim with flow guard.
The new LSP one is 5deg upswept, pitch offer both straight or upswept.
Who’s running what? I’m guessing it will feel a bit nose high with the upswept...

pistons say 65u 1.50 on them

Just had a read online and says max charge voltage for a LiPo battery is 14.4 volts
the super jet manual says charge voltage is 14.3-15.3 volts
guess unless I want to go TL may as well just keep the lead acid battery to be safe
Just had the battery go in my XFS comp 1200
the lead acid battery I run is 6.2kg and bloody heavy
are lithium batteries safe? See a lot of people using
only thing is I don’t have TL so not sure if the ski charging system can damage them?

Got a set of 48 riva power bombs.
they have different low speed screws to my dasa 48’s. Much chunkier and AM looking.
If you wind them right it they Stop before they bottom out. If I take the spring and washer if they bottom out normally. As they are, they both end up about 3/4 of a turn out...
