    Other 787 Garbage SBT crank

Is there a way to identify an SBT motor? Do they engrave it or something? I acquired a motor in a parts lot a while back and I got a bad feeling about it. I would rather know before I run it.

    Hardly any B1's in Daytona?

I've noticed a buttload of blasters for sale lately. I thought with sport spec gaining popularity that the trend would be the opposite.

who has experience with NOVI carbs?

I believe he will modify existing carbs if they are brand new mikunis, and only after he inspects them. The problem is that mikuni had several casts made and there are only certain casts that fit his tooling.

    COwakerider ripped me off!!

COwakerider was parting a 701 X2 on here, and on PWCToday. I paid him for the ADA Girdle Head kit. He never shipped it, after a week he gave me a story about a death in the family, blah blah. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. 2 weeks later he gave some other bs about having a problem...

    FX-1 Removeing The Pump Shoe

If it were my motor, I would tear it down to the crank right now and check the condition of the bearings. If the crank is fine then I would at least change the crank seals, they get old and brittle after time.

    FX-1 Removeing The Pump Shoe

I just watched that video in your sig. Is that you? Thats with no mods to the hull? Pretty sick.

    FX-1 Removeing The Pump Shoe

If you didn't have a seizure or anything you probably don't need a bore, just a hone, bore costs more. You may want someone who know what they're doing to take a look at your cylinders before you order pistons though, just in case you need the bore. Alot of people suggest Pro-X pistons, you can...

FX-1 My FX-1... What should I do first?

Sums it up. Much cheaper to do a 650 pump swap than anything else. Read through the pump swap threads to get an idea of your options.

FX-1 My FX-1... What should I do first?

FX-1 is lighter, shorter, narrower. In freestyle lighter is better. Shorter is definitely something that most freestyle hull builders do. Narrower, thats where it gets too squirly. A good rider can overcome that, but a SJ is much more stable so its easier for almost any freestyle move. The...

FX-1 My FX-1... What should I do first?

If you're gonna post about it in this forum, you're gonna get biased opinions because we're all FX-1 enthusiasts. IMHO the SJ is a better platform for what you want to do. I know I'll probably be tarred and feathered for saying it here but its the truth. And if you get an SJ, get a round...

FX-1 My FX-1... What should I do first?

Honestly, SJs are all around better for everything, but if you can freestyle an FX-1, you're the man!! I think you should consider the pump sooner rather than later. Its going to make the biggest difference out of any other mod. Footholds and turf are a must, but if you decide to do the 650...

    FX-1 Removeing The Pump Shoe

Maybe if you seal off the tube to make it air tight, the pressure will keep it from smooshing.

    FX-1 Removeing The Pump Shoe

From my own experience I would tell you not to use those particular one-ways. Hope its not too late. The one's that seem to work well are the square body versions. I used one of those round ones on my sj and it leaked like crazy. Maybe I just got a bad one, dunno.
