Freestyle Krash 50 Cal Footrocket Kit

Makes sense! So, when racing buouys is it advantageous to have trim and trim the nozzle down so more of the ski is in the water? Or trim up so the least amount of ski is in the water? All I know is on my Seadoo's, when Trimming up so the least amount of ski was in the water, it would porpoise...

And even the black top of my ski (gas door, handle pole, etc) is all rolled and tipped (paint rolled on then spread and smoothed with a brush)

Freestyle Krash 50 Cal Footrocket Kit

Do you have a thread on here for the sxr? Wanna comment on the paint, etc. I rolled and tipped mine and for doing it the first time, (black) not bad, but I am seriously surprised with how yours came out. And I always thought people waxed/polished the bottoms of their skis to go faster? Are you...

Freestyle Krash 50 Cal Footrocket Kit

I agree, there's no way a motor/pump setup was installed and aligned in that ski. The two skis that I've pulled engines out of and swapped, I've never had those issues. I guess that's the difference between mass produced assembly line products and aftermarket hulls. Obviously there must've been...

Pat Benatar , wow that's not even close.. I agree, no holes would be better than wrong misleading holes. Just crazy how they can build and produce multiple hulls and not come across this anomaly or at least mention it to buyers, as this obviously isn't a one off occurance. Chix, I feel your...

Freestyle Krash 50 Cal Footrocket Kit

Yes salt is mother natures loctite for sure, and I've had the worst of the worst, but it has ALWAYS only been difficult on the motor itself, such as head bolts, etc. I've learned A LOT being surrounded by salt water, and ever since I've started using XPS Bombardierlube on everything, I haven't...

Freestyle Krash 50 Cal Footrocket Kit

after having motor mount bolts, exhaust bolts and carb bolts come loose on my HX, I've used Loctite and haven't had any issues since. if you've never gotten a good sense of how much vibration these motors give off, even at around 3k rpms, try adjusting an allen head idle stop screw while the...

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

@Vumad thanks for the reply! yes I just checked out the bike bandit schematic. THANK YOU...that one was actually a bit more detailed so I was able to actually see where each end of each cooling hose went. On the schematic from the original service manual, I couldn't make out where each hose end...

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

Yes I did notice that pisser line is a LOT thicker than the ones on my HX and spx. Ok so yea I've got like 2 hours tray time total on this thing, so I think I wanna ride for a bit before doing any mods. Just so ODD that the PO stated that he did the "dry pipe modification"... Ok so all those...

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

    3. The fitting right on the exhaust manifold has a hose that runs to bulkhead fitting on the exhaust side (where I thought that pipe nipple would run) is that done correctly?

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

    2. You were right, the back of the pipe STILL HAS THE nipple AND the hose hooked up. But not only is the hose hooked up, it doesn't go to the bulkhead right there, it goes to the bulkhead on the OTHER side, by the ebox. If this was set up stock, is it supposed to go to the bulkhead right there...

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

Okay @bandit88 , I think this thing is COMPLETELY screwed up. Let me ask you a few questions with pics so I don't get this all garbled.. 1. Okay, the pisser, as you saw, is tapped directly into here. I'm assuming this is wrong, and should this be tapped into that center boss you circled earlier...

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

Ok cool, I'll check tonight. And if there is still a hose connected to that fitting, I should cap the fitting on the pipe AND the fitting on the other end of the hose, correct? Thanks!

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

And, if it's capped off, should I reconnect it? And having to tap that other spot and move the water line, does that mean the previous owner "dried it out " wrong? I got the ski like this... wondering if this is causing the no pissing at idle

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

Hey bandit, You say at the back of the pipe.. I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but this pipe now has a rear exit exhaust.the previous owner did the rear exit and dried it out. Are you saying there should be a fitting where I have this marked?

    650/X-2 newbie with a 650sx

@cobramaster @spenaroo I'm currently trying to determine if ive got a cooling issue. while your 650's are backed into the water ON the trailer, do they piss at idle? or only when you give it gas? thanks

650/X-2 Possible cooling issue while on trailer

hey bandit88 thanks for the reply. I don't recall it dribbling at idle. but when id increade rpms by a few hundred, maybe even from idle at 1400 to about 2000, then id get a SOLID, STRONG stream.. once I let go of the gas, it would stop. that pipe was getting pretty darn hot, as well as the...
