I know this isn’t a lot of advice but mine has/had one, it’s torn apart right now, it’s tight back there but I just glued the mount down with some epoxy on the left side and went with it, maybe your bilge pump is bigger than normal??

Battery positive side to switch, other side of switch to positive side of pump, ground black wire from pump to battery negative

It’s runs pretty well, the pipe really comes on hard about 1/4 throttle and from there on straight screaming, gotta pull the timing back from around 4000 rpm on and she really comes to life.
