    Starters gone wild... strange problem

Grifnasty, Trust me in that I'm only trying to be helpful and I am not criticizing you, but based on the questions that you are asking I think you need to be working closely with someone who has worked on a Yamaha electrical system before. To properly troubleshoot this, you should have a...

I know there are a Bunch of Jersey guys here....

That stars amd stripes one is pretty sweet and it has all the mods you will need for a long time, except footholds. His number is on there. You may be able to do an off-eBay deal for a little less if he avoids the eBay fees.

I know there are a Bunch of Jersey guys here....

Here's one that has a lot of goodies on it in NJ: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-YAMAHA-SUPERJET-701_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ31267QQihZ002QQitemZ4648099912QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

    Hammerhead

I think it was Boca Grande (about an hour South of you). It's one of the most beautiful spots in Florida and has the best Tarpon fishing in the world.

    What CDI is This?

I took apart an electrical box from an old 650 that I had laying around. Does anyone know what brand of CDI this is, or is it just and older OEM Yamaha?

I know Superjets are the way to go, but what about this...

You know, if you can get it for less than $1000.00, ride it and enjoy it. You'll be able to sell it next year for at least $500-700, easily. That's not too much of a price to pay for learning to ride standups. These are actually fun to ride. Especially, since there seems to be a lack of...

San Diego, CA - best place for engine work?

If I was in the San Diego area, I would go to Art at Jetworks also. He's a good guy who knows his stuff.

    help my messed up back

Honestly, I find the same thing. Kind of bizarre. I have lower back pain. My boss is into Yoga and she guaranteed she could help my back pains. She let me try this 6" x 36" foam roller that Yoga people use. You just roll over it and it applies a rolling "line force" along your back...

    5mm/8mm stroker crankshafts??????????

Would you push 10mm with modified cast 62T cases though?

    5mm/8mm stroker crankshafts??????????

Actually, I've analyzed the benefits (in gained ccs) of a 1mm change in stroke vs. a 1mm increase in bore. At the 800+cc range, you are better off increasing by 1mm of bore than 1mmm of stroke. With the 10mm stroke, you have to really push the limits of OEM cases or make custom cases...

Not sure if i should sell

Come on, you can do better marketing than that. Throw "Superjet" in the title (for people who search for superjet parts, since you pointed out that 2/3 of it can be used for twins also). You'll get a bigger potential audience.

    701 Ported Cylinders Wamilton/JRMagoo/Riva?

I've talked extensively to and dealt with all three, Paul, Chuckie, and Art. Paul helped me appreciate the sport by me seeing him both ride incredibly, and then by seeing his motor-building capability. He made my dual 47mm 760 SJ perform to the best of it's ability. Chuckie wowed me from...

    701 Ported Cylinders Wamilton/JRMagoo/Riva?

I had a Riva ported cylinder and thought it was a great improvement over stock. However, laast Fall, I asked Chuckie at Team Scream to work his magic on it and I am in awe. I've never had so much power on my ski. That's with a single Novi 46 carb on ATP intake by the way. Give him a call...

    spring or tighten

What does everyone do to keep them tight, and how often do you retighten them. If I make mine ultra-tight, the way I would like it, the friction of going up and down one time makes it loosen a little (even with the XMetal double bolt). I can keep it snug, but never ultra-tight. Has anyone...

    site changes

Keep in mind that although you state $1/month, you would probably want to do a once-a-year charge of $12.00 to reduce administrative hassles of keeping up with who is up to date on payment.

    site changes

The dedicated server/subscription sounds like a reasonable possibility. Would this allow us to be able to post large pictures once again? It's kind of a pain to crop and resize pictures to post them within the allowable limits. Would there be any other added-benefits of the dedicated server...

    is this 61x cylinder ruined?

Mine got chipped during shipping, but it wasn't quite as big as that. Chuckie just smoothed it out and said it would be OK. I make more power now than I ever have (because of his porting, not because of the chip) so I think he was right. It was about half that size. I know this isn't...
