Anyone ever hear of using a WB or WR nozzle on a SJ?

Funny. I was just talking with someone on the idea of running exactly what you have as a quick-change fixed trim up alternative to a lever-controlled system. On flat water, I find that I am holding onto my trim 80% of the time, either to make a setup wake or to nose-up going into a wake/wave...

Can you post some pics of the steering nozzle?

Ski wont run, even BEFORE it sank...

Since it only seems to be happening when you actually ride the ski (not sitting still, or against the wall) ride without the hood and watch for hte water.

Anyone know how to get ahold of Magoos?

Good luck Paul. Man, that was a prime piece of real estate (the shop) you're leaving in NJ. Hope you made out well on it.

    Huge Thanks !

Sweet setup Pete. Our skis will be like brothers after I get up and running. I'm hoping to ride with you guys this summer. I'm just a few miles north. Joe.

    Ski won't charge battery?

How about the connections of the battery cables to the relay/solenoid. If you already removed them, check to see for corrosion on the solenoid terminals. Since you had water in the box, I would guess that there was some sort of corrosion taking place. Corrosion can occur quickly with water...

Some Ideas on Pipes for Yamaha

It would be interesting to hear what you found and you could be a hero for a lot of people. Maybe the smaller 650 pipe has some hidden benefit for low-end. If you ever get a few hours, it would be nice to hear the results of it. If you have the mod pipe, you might be able to get that out...

Some Ideas on Pipes for Yamaha

As we all know, the B-pipe seems to be the pipe to have for Yamahas. The prices are quite high though. I wanted to make a suggestion so that all of you have some opportunities to get an aftermarket pipe, perhaps with out paying rediculous prices. Additionally, we may learn something from...

um wtf does this error mean?

You might want to check to make sure you didn't get any Browser Helpers/Hijackers installed on your PC. On your IE menu bar select Tools > Manage Add-ons. You can disables funky looking ones that seem suspicious, close IE and retry what you did.

    My SJ Won't Go BRAAAAAP

The symptoms sound like your overheat sensor is kicking in. But, since you are running an ADA, it is likely non-existent. In this case you need to ensure that teh pink wire in your electrical box is not grounding. Could that be the problem?

    Njfl! Woot Woot!

Thanks guys. It's great getting to know all of you in this sport too. Joe.

    Any Suggestions?

Can you describe a little more which bolt you are referring to? On Yamaha's all of the case bolts go in through the bottom, I think. The key ones to worry about are the 8 center section ones that hold the crank in. Do you perhaps mean the motor mount bolts or head bolts?

What would you do with a 5mil stroker crank?

I think the popular answer is a Lamey. Pat Bogart is currently running a very stout 5mmx88mm Lamey (888cc). However, you might want to consider giving the new ADA a shot. If you go all out with the ADA, 91mmx5mm gives 950cc and as you know, displacement is a big factor in bottom-end.

How can i get this bpipe set screw out?

I would try a new, plain High-Speed Steel bit. Not a cheap one, but one that has "HS" or "HSS" on the shank. Sometimes the coated ones are very weak after the hard coating is worn/chipped/removed.

whats the O.D of a fly wheel?

You will need a bolt-grip puller, not the jaw type. There is basically only one standard bolt-grip puller kit available, anywhere. If you buy from Harbor Freight, that will work, but I recommend going to Home Depot and getting Grade 8 5/16" washers (you will be using the 8mm bolts to remove...

Good points mouth. I didn't consider that scenario, but I have been there before too.

    Dry Cell Battery???

Has anyone tried running an Odyssey PC610 (the standard replacement for most standups is PC625). The PC625 weighs 13lbs. The PC310 is a little shorter, but weighs only 6 pounds. It has less cranking power though. Nice to take seven pounds off the front of the ski though.

    Dry Cell Battery???

I've heard that a lot of the better PWC batteries have epoxied plates to prevent loosening during pounding. Jetworks has this. I'm looking into their battery now as I also need a new one. The Oddyseys are quite heavy also.

    advent ignition causing rough idle?

Don't forget to set your stator to 0 degrees static timing before installing the Advent. That can change the timing curve a little. I'd suggest swapping in the MSD if you have it. Hook up is the same except the MSD will use the brown wire (I think it's brown, or whichever the charging coil...
