Yea the Riva CDI is unobtainium. I have one that I've been holding onto in case I decide to run it one day. Go with the Protec mod. They raise the limit to a fixed 8100 RPM.
Well I thought he was giving the prop that the Kawi guys run. The Kawi guys target the high 7000s. Being a Yamaha guy, you might want to target lower RPM (like 7100). Either way, you should think about sending your CDI to Protec, or getting a Riva CDI or something. The stock rev limit is too...
I understand, but does your buddy from Virginia know that you're running a Yamaha not a Kawi 1100? There's a significant difference so you probably dont want to be getting prop pitch advice from a Kawi guy.
a little confused here. On Impros website they show the complete pump assembly for $1649. You can buy the vein section for $495, you can buy the wear ring for $334, and now your telling us you can get the trim set up for $550. Why would somebody buy the pump?
Funny eh? Did you also know that the 12 vein stators have been available this entire time? Somebody finally noticed it in the Solas catalog and next thing you know they can't keep them on the shelf.
Anyway, nice find. Did anyone else notice the Impros pic has the reduction nozzle mounted...
Dude its not the smoke from the oil that got us kicked off our lake. Its the unburnt raw fuel that comes straight out the exhaust from a 2-stroke.
I'm really open to anything that will allow me to keep riding a standup at my lake. So far, every avenue I've explored have been ok as long as...
the tripple will definitely bring the power but it will also change weight distribution and probably wont flip very easily. you should consider the kawi 1100 tripple because its not as big and you can push the motor towards the rear more. it might be your best option and the conversion is...
No need to modify the waterbox. Should fit fine. You just have to cut a decent size opening in the bulkhead to allow the coupler from the pipe to go through to the waterbox.
Yamabooeey posted his build here. http://www.pwctoday.com/showthread.php?t=357802 I think it will be very similar...
Maybe I'm not understanding you, but the one way valve has an arrow on it that should point towards the tank. Air should be allowed to flow into the tank, but not out.
