Other Broke Crank at the Flywheel. WTF?

Actually, I think the stator might need replacement. I'll try to repair it but not sure if its salvagable.

Other Broke Crank at the Flywheel. WTF?

No, stock rev limit on a GP1200 motor is 7050. I have the Protec Mod which sets it to 8100. Its pretty much mandatory when running a 144 pump. I'll definitely be sending the flywheel to #zero. The lighter flywheel plus balancing should hopefully keep it from happening again.

    Super Jet Sj 1200

Looks like you might have more room if you run the hose closer to the bedplate underneath the manifold. You would need a hose that has slightly more length before the 90 to accomplish that.

Other Broke Crank at the Flywheel. WTF?

I torqued it to spec, but who knows if it was ever overtorqued in the cranks previous life. If the rules in my class would have been different, I would have had it lightened already. They changed the rules this year, so you'll be getting my flywheel at some point.

Other Broke Crank at the Flywheel. WTF?

Yea, happened yesterday. This is embarassing, but here goes. Its an SBT. I got the crank new in a package deal when I bought the donor 1200 boat. I actually sent the crank to Competitive Crankshafts and dropped $200 on it to have it inspected and rebalanced etc (and this was a new crank). I...

Other Broke Crank at the Flywheel. WTF?

Yea I was thinking it might have been a casting problem. I doubt it was improper torque. It would have to be like 150 lbs to cause that.

Other Broke Crank at the Flywheel. WTF?

On my blaster 1200. I just dont know how this happened. I was riding and it just quit on me. Felt like it stuck a piston but the bendix wouldn't engage. Got home and pulled the cover and found this. Any ideas how this could of happened?

Blaster Any one guru on Blaster fp dry pipes?

It doesn't matter the ski. Blaster, SJ, SXR, whatever, drypipes make more power but are a PITA to install and compromise reliability.

Reed sets usually come as a pair, so you need two sets.

Blaster 61x vs 62T Exhaust Manifolds: Same?

No they're not the same. Like #zero said, the ports on the 62t are taller. It will bolt up and work, but its not ideal unless you port match it.

Blaster 61x vs 62T Exhaust Manifolds: Same?

Yes it will work fine but thats not the answer to the question. True, bolt size is different, but the ports are not exactly the same. You can make a 61X manifold into a 62T by drilling the holes and port matching, but you cant do the opposite. You'll be fine buying that pipe though...

Blaster thoughts . . . please on a 1100 blaster for surf riding

Thats amazing. I used to be able to talk to him easily but now I can't ever seem to get a word in with him. That has been my experience. I call, ask a question, get put on hold, he comes back with an answer, I have another question, hold, another answer. For crying out loud, just put me...

Blaster thoughts . . . please on a 1100 blaster for surf riding

Looks like the blaster grates from snowxr we've been waiting on are finally ready. I'd like to see a picture, but I'm guessing it would be a great grate for a high hp blaster.

Blaster thoughts . . . please on a 1100 blaster for surf riding

Next time get it from snowxr. I think it would require a little grinding because its a SJ shoe, but not much. Plus they're only $79 Edit: Actually, looks like he makes a Blaster shoe now. $94 No grinding though. http://snowxr.startlogic.com/store/page2.html
