    Freestyle Blue's Birthday Bash

I guess I'm the flopper...lol. Not an excuse, but it was my first time on a v-wake. (btw: I'm not that good at them in the surf either...lol)

    FPD's "Floatorious P.I.G"

Super glued the nosepiece & re-glued the chinpad turf...ugly as hell, but I guess that's my style. Waiting for glass to kick on the hood. Slow hardener...bad mistake. I'm making an awful mess. Worst glasser in the history of fiberglass! lol.

    FPD's "Floatorious P.I.G"

Gotta say, the v-wake can get you high! It was my first time. You can have a lot of fun, regardless of power plant.

    FPD's "Floatorious P.I.G"

Likewise Lucas! Found a bit more minor carnage....broken nosepiece, de-turfed chinpad.....all easy fixes. This will be the 3rd or 4th glassing of the hood.....if somebody has one, might make a deal. Looking forward to pics/vid of the day!

Blaster Use oil injection or block off and premix?

A lot of folks are not certified yamaha...or any other mfr techs. If the ski has no warning system, then block-off and pre-mix gives the rider the confidence that oil is there. Most inject too rich anyway. I don't know what to say to the "under 900cc rotax" folks with that silly rotary off the...

    FPD's "Floatorious P.I.G"

Finally got to do the "v-wake" thing on Sunday! Had a friggin' blast! But...I broke some stuff. Imagine that. A few unsuccessful BF attempts resulted in some "maybe not" hood hooks and some glasswork yet to be done. Funny, I arrived around noon on Saturday, took a short burn, and my pump shoe...

    Super Jet Carb Tuning Tool

Agreed! And I've gone that route in the past. The "t" handle needles I got had a completely different taper than the stock needles. I fought the good fight.......ended up with another set of carbs. Not from an sj. 38 mikuni's , but the high speed needles have coarse threads just as the low. The...

Super Jet Jetting advise for 185psi head?

The head will make it more "snappy" , but won't change how your engine breathes. IMO jetting change is not needed. Check back with Zero. He will know for sure. Usually, A jetting change is needed along with a pipe. (changes the breathing). Just a big air pump.

Super Jet 2012 SJ Ive joined the dark side, picking up tomorrow

Might take some gettin' used to, but you'll like it way better pretty soon. The break-in is a debate that will go on forever. That engine (IMO) is the most bulletproof of any watercraft. All stock, ride it like you ride. BTW: 20:1 seems crazy.

    Super Jet Carb Tuning Tool

That's a nice tool! I'd love to compare it to the one I'm looking for. It was very user friendly looking.

    Super Jet Carb Tuning Tool

Been unsuccessful finding an old thread that had pics & supplier of a 90 degree screwdriver that would fit easily between the sj dual carbs for tuning needles. It also had markings, much like a torque wrench, that showed you how many turns in/out. The search was not fruitful. Decided that I've...

    Superjet Hood seal?

LOL...That was my "glue removal method" as well. Used a flathead like a chisel....(carefully) . After that, on both skis, wiped out the channel with a rag & acetone. Used nothing other than the adhesive tape after that. It's been good for at least 2 years so far. (that's why I posted earlier...

    Other Cold fusion steering

We have different needs, but he hooked me up with the CF steering as well as some blowsion straight bars. I couldn't be happier. The UMI was a good set up..but high maint. Bearings...."o" rings.... it got old. Love the CF. Can't beat the price either.
