    Advent Q's ?

I'd suggest a curve with the same profile/shape, but maybe starting with a little less initial advance. But, for the best fit curve, talk to your machinist. Who did your porting? I would ask them what timing curve they would suggest (like if you had a fully programmable ignition). Then...

    Advent Q's ?

Very. No, actually, it is quite conservative in porting. 933 ADA cylinder (7mm), Jetworks porting, dual 48 Blackjacks, B mod pipe, 140mm pump. If I reduced the compression to around 150psi you could run premium pump gas (what I am getting at is that you don't need to run race gas...

    Problem please help

As long as you take the flame arrestors off and confirm that when you hit the primer, fuel goes in, it would be the same as dumping fuel down the carbs. Make sure your primer is actually pushing fuel in.

    Problem please help

That is correct behavior. The ground electrode of the spark plug must be grounded (when plug is screwed in this is achieved). I would say you do not have an electrical problem. Start looking at fuel supply.

    Engine bore

Actually it's closer to 0.001" or a mil, so I guess that could still be feasible (I take it this offended you as a machinist, sorry). Regardless, I always find it funny when the metric and English worlds get interrelated like this.

    Rager Date?

For the past couple of weeks, Sundays at 24/7 have been getting bigger. We started with a couple people, then this past weekend we had about 20 and are expecting even more next weekend. It's really great getting to meet all of the riders and riding skis with motors from different builders...

    Engine bore

Yes, I agree. I'm sure it was inches. I was being funny. 0.040 mm would not be able to be machined on any typical machine shop equipment (tolerances).

    Engine bore

Actually, with the 78mm bore it just brings it to 650. The interesting thing (that a lot of people don't know) is that the stock bore/stroke combination on a "650" is really only 633ccs.

    Engine bore

78.016mm assuming that you mean 0.040 inches.

    NJ Fun !

The group just keeps getting bigger each week. Looking forward to next Sunday. Yesterday I realized why Pete is so good. He just doesn't quit. On one of his backie attempts he hit his nose on the pole, but got right back to try again. Nice job. Another half hour on that hull and you'll...

something is screwy abt my new tach

On OEM 62T, 64V/X, 61X, and 6M6 Yamaha ignitions a waste-fire setup is used where both plugs fire every time. This is why I always suggest that people swap their plug wires to see if problems follow the wire, or stay on the same cylinder. Since each plug fires every time, you will see a...

CG Racing- My Situation and My Feedback.

I am seeing a lot of responses/questions that appear to be trying to point blame at Art here. All of these questions are irrelevant and meaningless. Even if Art did make a machining mistake (which he didn't), Chuck was chosen as the guy to build the motor and any of these problems should have...

    Wax cylinder

That was the old one that was discontinued. They're making the 989's in the link. Got one and it kicks arse.

    Wax cylinder

Chris, you have to find a way to make your ATP stuff more affordable in the US. I love everything you guys make, but compared to the other US manufacturers' parts, due to your shipping and the exchange rate, your parts are hard to sell.

Consider the ADA billet cylinder kit. Yes, it's $2k, but that includes a head. http://www.adaracing.com/viewcat.php?maincat=watercraft&model=ya701&category=headkits

What brand of hand tools do you mostly use when wrenching on your ski?

Ever since I split my first Craftsman socket I have been buying Snap On sockets. They are significantly stronger and less prone to breaking. For screwdrivers, I stick with Craftsman because it's a lot easier to take back to Sears than find a Snap On dealer. Unless you are in the trade and...

    Shipping Help !

I have used Forward Air twice to ship from CA to NJ and once to ship a hull from here to GA. All times they were the best price. If you can build the crate and are willing to drive it to Newark to drop it off at their terminal that would be the cheapest (or check if they have a terminal...

hp input wanted jetworks 4mil Vs lpw bigbore

You would think this is a good idea, but financially, it can kill you. Once you get the fever, it is hard to go back and you find yourself wanting more and more power. When you get to the bigger power levels it becomes exponentially more expensive to realize seat-of-the-pants gains.

    Chinpad Covers

I'd also say consider marine grade vinyl. Take a look at the colors and designs that they do on offshore race boats for some ideas.
