Hard bottom scuba shoes are hands down the best! Great traction keep your feet warm on cold rides and don't let sand in when your walking around the beach!
Costs an arm and a leg too, I have always watered to rocker a SN just because I think they look awesome but not sure I'm ready for that big of a project.
One other question how long do you need to wait in between layers and how many layers should the tray be? I'm using the 17 ounce biaxial for the tray and walls then going to go over it with a tight woven Ecloth to help seal things up.
All great info! Has no one really made a video of them doing any of this? I feel like it would be a great help for anyone who's just starting to get Into it like myself.
Everything I read said the 3-1 wasn't as good as the the 2-1, cured to fast of something but I will be doing all the work in my house where it's 72 degrees no matter what.
Wrong wrong wrong! The only real thing that matters is how many beers you had before you put it on the scale......numbers blur and before you know it that sxr is only 130lb
I don't have money to burn and that kit looks awesome but no way I can swing that, only reason I have the footholds are because I got them compleat for $100. If it gets done I would have to do the work myself just do to know if it would be worth it.
I think I have it all sanded down as far as it can be, I am using biaxial for the most part and yes I have a fiberglass roller and squeegee. I didn't know about the rubbing alcohol but I will definitely do that and I will find something to practice on first. Thanks a lot for all the info! Here...
Yes I know of the first two I have read tons of builds and looked all over the site but where to cut and what to mod is not what I am asking. Everyone posts stuff of where they cut and how they did it then they say I fiberglassed this and that. I'm looking for a video that actually shows someone...
Anyone ever make a how to video for fiberglassing? About to start rebuilding the tray of my SN and fiberglassing the holes where I shortened it and would love to see a video or even a little advice or things I may run into. First time ever working with fiberglass so don't know much so any and...
Can't go wrong with that advice! I'm on that line of should I shorten my SN or not, have the try all cut out and defoamed so if it's ever going to happen it's now only thing I don't know what I would do is the exhaust tube.....
