Just depends on how much work you want to do. Personally, buying the ready made nose would be MUCH easier. If you want to really shorten the nose substantially beyond what that kit offers be sure you are comfortable with glass work. I did the shim method because they don't offer cool looking...

With all the crazy aftermarket hulls and rockered SN tearing up the scene.....it won't be long till Yamaha doesn't ship them to the states anymore. I've seen it take months to sell A superjet at a dealership. Maybe I'm wrong but I believe the standup marketshare for new superjets is getting...

During the poo hot humid days of summer I might use a medium but I LOVE the fast hardener, especially if its below 80 degrees. US Composites epoxy resin, my favorite so far.

Might just do that.....How long are you supposed to wait until fiberglass is fully cured before riding? :ugh:

I have about 2 cords of cured white oak available for burning but won't be there until Saturday or Sunday. Depends on if I can get my parts installed from Jetmaniac, USPS says Friday so it all depends on my ability to get it done.

McMaster-Carr. They have a warehouse in Atlanta so shipping is super quick. Speaking of parts....Anybody got spare hood hooks I could buy from them? Also, might need to borrow a SN hood for the weekend. Mine might not be done.

Honestly, the hardest part out of the whole project is tackling the effing hood. It's almost a stock setup; 701, b-pipe, setback pump, etc. etc. so assembly is just a few hours. Shes runs awesome, just getting a face lift. I will try and make it for sure, this is great motivation!
