I weld on my grand Cherokee all the time with no electrical issues...my door hinges broke off on the passenger and driver side doors just for example.
What kind of welder are you using?
I guess you cant assume anything, but how do you test the depth...somebody draw straws to see who gets to nose in first?

There has to be less power and throttle response, with just the thought of splitting the intake runners instead of just the straight shot with dual carbs.
When I was at the Universal Studios watershow they bought 3 brand new 07's and 1 out of the 3 had that same problem with cracking below the bond line. It was replaced with the warranty:biggthumpup:.... They would not replace it if it was taken off the ski jump :bigeyes:, than the warranty was void.
