the cheapest will probably be the riva kit. it's not the best though.

What's the benefit of the single over the dual other than fuel consumption, power, and less fuel lines, and adjustments?

Just curious if there are more?

it's simpler and has a slightly less chance of water ingestion. there is a debate over throttle response and low end hit.

We need to pool some money, buy a dyno and some accelerometers to end that debate.

I can't even say after having dual 44's, then a single Novi 48, then oem 44's, then taperbored 44's. The only thing I know is the taperbored set are quite a bit better, but the Novi 48 hit pretty hard and supposedly would be even better with the ATP manifold.

There has to be less power and throttle response, with just the thought of splitting the intake runners instead of just the straight shot with dual carbs.

I disagree. straight short runners are traditionally known for being best at peak power while losing low end throttle response.

$450 for the carb, intake, and flame arrestor...all just about new. I won't need the intake or the flame arrestor. Let me know when you find a carb and we can work something out.

rivas single carb kit is the cheapest way to go. If your motor is ported and all then you could probably sell the carb and buy a new bigger carb and knock the price in half on it.
