Tem Berky makes carbon poles... I tested the first one in the surf over 1yr ago, which Chris still has that same pole on his ski. Pole weighted 5.8 lbs My new SF will have a Tem built carbon pole.... Top notch stuff, light, surf tested.....

All ski's get water in the tray.... Never gonna seal them up! At least without foam you can drain them after each ride....

Its my understanding the Rickters only have a little poly in the tray area.... But as long as you drain the tray & keep it drained it should have enough air to keep the rear floating long enough to tow the ski in. I know the SF's ski stay floating without any foam in the tray, only air...

The Short pole is for flatwater, it feels perfect when your riding, no back pain at all. The footholds are very nice with a lot of padding. When your locked in your in..... Mine will be in the surf with either pipe!!!! But only on small days, I'm going to be at the lake most of the time now...

You see Mcdog we will end up riding these small, FW only, high powered XS1000 ski's in the surf... So we need that extra rail on the nose..... Rail = No spray

This one rode better then a full size ski..... We just couldn't believe how well this short hull rode. I'm 190, Lucas 230, Blake 250 and no problems, easy to get up, so stable slow or fast.... That's all with a flush ride plate, no extra length needed.... IMO this length we rode over the...
