Well I got the case apart and pulled the crank out. All of the bearrings and seals looked good except for the seal on the front crank bearring. It is the little rubber band looking seal. It had a 1/4 inch gap cut out of it. Like it had split. Case looked good. Only a few minor scratches...
HOLY ft lbs Batman!!!!!!
Thanks for your help. Have you ever used a PJS 550 case? I have found a few on the web at a fair price. The only prob. is they do not use the stock stator/flywheel cover. You have to make your own. Thanks again

I am going to open the case tonight and see if there is any damage. I am having a hard time getting the flywheel nut off. Should I be using an impact wrench? I do not want to mess up anything by prying on the coupler side of the shaft. Any tricks would be great. I know the cylinders are...
More pics of the pistons. If you look at the under side of the pistons and note the black burnt pattern. What caused this. Was the front cylinder running lean and hot? Or could this have been caused by an air leak? I guess I will never know.

OK, So I got the motor out and tore down the cylinders. Rings on the front piston had welded themselves into the piston head. I have included several pics. I am about to split the case and clean that all up. I am hoping that the bearrings are ok and not full of piston parts. Everything else...

I would like to ride with ya someday. It looks like I am going to be doing a complete rebuild on my motor. It went tits a few days ago. I think I nuked the front cylinder. I had tons of small metal parts floating around in there. Let me know when you want to ride. My motor should be...
I was hoping that it would just be something minor. I wonder if the domes come out of this PJS head. I can't tell. We will know when I pull the cylinders tonight and see the carnage down below.

Ok, so I pulled the head and it didn't look good. The rear piston is black as night and the front piston is full of little parts of metal. Looks like a grenade went off in there. The front dome looks like someone took a ball pein hammer and beat the crap out of it. I guess this is the start...
I was riding last night and jumping a few boat wakes. As I came down on the last jump when I landed my ski died. I tried to restart it and it turned over real slow and then nothing. I got a tow back to the dock and pulled the plugs to see if it would turn over without them in the holes...
If the Marine patrol comes after me I just sub and stay down until they are gone. The prob with that is trying to keep my cig lit. :Banane09: Just tring to lighten the mood. You can't control what every dumb ass is doing, just try and hold up your end.
I always say "Shut up bitches and lets...
I have been tossing around ridding in the pond at the local golf course. All I need to do is get the hitch for my golf cart so I can pull the trailer to the pond. Hmmmmmmmmm

I did not have the chance to meet Zach or Libby but from the stories told they were both very loved. My heart and prayers go out to thier families. It will take a while for the hole in this small community to heal. Just be there for the ones you love. If you need help don't be to proud to...
I had the same prob. I took the petcock valve out and cleaned both the on and res. fuel lines. I got a 2 1/2 inch long white worm looking chunk of crap out of the on line. I still have no idea what it was. Runs like a champ now.
Higs
Sounds like your fuel lines are old and comming apart from the inside. NO fuel filter and everything will pass right into the carbs. I had the same prob with my Kawi and it was a bunch of crap that had clogged the petcock valve. I would change to res. and it would run good for about a minute...
