If I was you I would check all of the fuel lines. I have an 84 and I had the same problem. When I ran me ski with the fuel on I had air bubbles in the fuel lines. When I ran it on the reserve it ran just fine. It happened to be a crack in the line just above the primer T in the line. Air...

SuperJETT Pulled the fuel filter and the screen looked fine. Alot of crap in the bottom though. All fuel lines were in good condition, no leaks or cracks. Cleaned the filter base out and put it back together. After the fuel got to the carbs it ran like a champ. Thanks for the help. Higgins-LCHC
