Slutty does great work!
And has for a long time now. I would gladly pay someone else to de/refoam a ski and then do a nice turf job. That has got to the be the worst job out there. And I gurantee if SJ has not been re-foamed, the foam that is there is totally water logged.
good luck on your drive guys.
As far as surf goes, the wind will be the big factor. I think it may well be shlt box conditions and a sand storm to boot. But at least it won't be flat.
Good times...
I have never run the tubbie 2's. Just put a set of 3's on the 08 tonight and we will see what that does.
But about your question. I have always used the regular tubbies, and put them as far forward as was reasonable, and flush with the bottom. I like them this way because you get a smooth...
I have done a couple that I landed fairly clean and rode away from...but none with the landing on video and not super clean and dry like a normal roll. I think the whole deal was that it had to be clean landing and on video.
If I won, I was going to donate the money anyway. I would say...
You can also get a stock size after market bracket.

either way you run your pole you will get used to it, and it will feel funny to ride a boat with a different set up.
It took me a while to adjust to the stiff pole...at first it feels really unnatural. But you get used to it. However, I would not reccomend it at this point. I only run it stiff to be able to do the no handed stuff, and you don't need to run it stiff even for that but it helps.
Email Arno or Mike over at HT. I don't know if they have the Splash cover, not sure I have seen that one. But there is an awesome one that I am thinking of from PWI with Joe on the cover.
Also might want to email the guys at Blowsion

Glad to hear your gonna get a SJ. You will be able to find a nice round nose in your price range. Nothing wrong with a Square though...but be sure it is a 701.
The square had a different top deck and the 61x cases...you will be happier with the 96+ for the motor alone.
Once you get it...
Very nice and clean Marz...
Blowsion also makes one with all you need in stainless

It would save you the effort and does not cost that much more than doing it on your own.
