you can grind away at the bottom of the foothold here
you can grind away the side here or remove from the hull. still have plenty of meat everywhere else to snug it up and you will be glassing over.
please pull the enhancer, spread out the wires and get us a birds eye view of it so we can trace it down. its hard to help if we can't see the problem.
yes to get the pipe off you need to slide the motor forward. what hose are you talking about? the sleeve on the mani to pipe is just a cover. I did order a long sleeve for the other end and it now has no room to slide off anymore.
if it was me I would grind the rear bottom of the hold and the rear side of the hull. you can at this point even screw them in and glass over. depends on how lazy you are. by grinding the outside towards the bottom you will get a slightly(very slightly) wider tray. looks like the...
yes its fine- install the bottom and work up. you may need to sand the holds or hull to get the best fit. like the back corner, looks like its more on the kicktail then the roundnose will allow for. you will glass over it all so don't be afraid to trim it.
I like the sides for a little extra leverage, if you flat deck it and then install footholds you will probably not like it as much as just flat deck and straps. it will hurt less. if you are nervous- the go halfway, cut out everything but the outsides and a lip on the top to glass to. trim off...
sorry was out of town for a few days with the kids.
you can put the holds anywhere you want. they are made to fit about as far back as you can go. on a round nose they will fit pretty much all the way back and clear the exhaust, you may have more room forward with a square???
yes- do put...
clearly you don't see why this is annoying. Are you trying to sell an item? yes! either list it elsewhere or list it on ebay. with multiple listings everywhere you are of course increasing the odds of selling and even getting your price. the issue here is how to run a business. a smart...
LOL I can see how much you are looking forward to it. I bow to your greatness, I dread the day I get a wild hair and convince myself that somehow this is a good idea and I need to do it.
now you get to do it 3 more times!!
1 topdeck-part
2 bottom deck- mold
3 bottom deck- part
that is a lot of work and a lot of resin. and then the build begins. what a project.
looks great so far. can't wait to see he part going together.
something is messed up there. the body and the shell both have a clean line where the seal used to be. but from the pics it looks like neither holds the rubber oring. did some one machine it or switch it with another one. I would say it would be fine to do what you want only worry is if it...
just make a small part and once you see how much effort goes into just ripping a part, like a ridplate. then step up to a one-off part. that more than doubles or triples the amount of time to make the mold. also the bigger the part- the more the cost to make the mold and the part. let alone...
make sure you have all the bolts out and then get a rubber mallet or a prybar. its stuck on the dowel pins. you need to carefully pop it sideways. make sure to be working and area that has a lot of meat.
ok - I will let you guys in on a huge secret!!!! the holes for the mount are larger than the bolt to install it to the hole. slide the mount outwards and you will get the mount lower. duh!!! if it doesn't move out far enough to get you aligned then drill the hole bigger. dremel it out whatever...
