There was a time that I had this same issue, My bedplates had shifted somehow causing the alignment to be off from motor to midshaft. When the couplers were engaged it would kick the midshaft up at an angle making getting the driveshaft hard to get into place. Found out the hard ways...

Many are running water into the head first now..... Maybe try that. What is the flow order? Where he goes into the cylinders, assuming 2 on the front and 2 on the rear, Where is the water coming out? Head? Seams like there is not enough flow going through the head shell.
Too much heat....... How hot are the cylinders? When its cold, my DASA stays really cold!!!! That just looks like there is no water getting to the head at all.
