I used MDF to make a form for a battery tray. Covered in with binder presentation cover plastic for release. I used 5 layers of 1708 for the tray.

Silicone grease on the threads, load em with epoxy, press in place.

This is what I did for new inserts. I decided to use M10 Rotolocs, yes big manly M10's, if I need a smaller bolt EZ Lock makes a M10 to M6 adapter. I used dished washers to make covers for the epoxy and to press in place. I made placement studs out of 3/8 bolts, M10 and 3/8 are just about...

I ground out all the old inserts.

Ground off all the carbon, hogged out the bottom of the mount with a 4 inch grinder and bonded back in place with 404 and epoxy. 2 layers of 5.7 carbon were layed over the mount like originally done.

I was using compressed air to blow out the motor mount holes and I thought I was hallucinating but the mount on the right was popping up and down about a 1/4 of an inch. So I made a locator from the good mount, and used a dremel to cut the carbon.

I used a mix of epoxy, graphite and aerogel for this coating. Oh no.

There was a chine crack right in front of the bulkhead. I ground it back and used 7 layers of 1708 ,and lots of pressure for the patch.

The punch in from the tray or, where the ebox mounts was thin so I beefed it up with a single layer of 1708 overlayed with 4oz. Wound up doing the sides when they couldn't pass the candle test.

I reinforced the footholds. 4oz. glass w/epoxy for the corners,multiple layers, single layer 1708 for the bottom.

The bottom of the foot buckets were cracked. I have no idea what the red stuff in the 3rd pic was.

Inside was pretty rough.

Took a week to get all the old glue off. Lots of clogged sand paper and chemicals.

One of the first jobs was deturfing. And when I say job...... Whoever turfed it originally, I found your blade.

Handle pole was in rough shape. Actually got these broken pole stop bolts out with reverse twist drill bits. Some pieces weren't worth fixing.

Picked this up the end of last year. I wanted to get some practice turfing footholds. Classic ridden hard put away wet needing some TLC.

I picked these up at Wal Mart. Don't know how I lived without them for fabrication. Instant mini vise and finger saver when grinding small parts.

OEM is hard to beat

I’m using the ew2-61481-00-00 square nose cable in my FS1. It’s long enough with full length pole tubes and just as important it’s got 4 inches of throw.
