What did you wrench on today?

Today I checked a bunch of stuff out on a turbo Aquatrax that won't run right. Rebuilt a set of carbs for a Seadoo 951. And broke the snout off a starter in the front housing on a Polaris MSX140.

What did you wrench on today?

I know right!! Actually I still wear my hair like that. It's actually long everywhere. Half of that hair sticking out the back of that hat is actually from the front.

    Mixing Gas

BAH......I've never had a saw, or weed eater, or jet ski blow up on me. Just watch the fuel...THE INSTANT you put oil in that tank, the whole thing colors up and you're ready to rock! And you NEVER fire something up the very next second.....you drive to the launch, or pick up the saw and pull...

    Mixing Gas

Ever since I was a kid riding dirtbikes.......I've NEVER shaken up my 2 stroke mixed fuel. Put the gas in, ratio rite (or similar) the correct amount of 2 stroke oil, go ride. That's all I've EVER done! Just used my Stihl saw about a week ago......filled it with gas, poured in a capfull of 2...

What did you wrench on today?

It appeared to have been spewing a bit of fuel in that area......at least that's what I believe that was. Awesome cleaner from the Dollar Tree diluted 1:1 with water. Spray it, let it sit a few minutes, spray it again, give it another minute, wash it out with the cheapo electric power washer. I...

What did you wrench on today?

I tore down a Seadoo 951 Di today. And cleaned up the filthy bilge.

    SBT strikes again!!!

........and again!! Tore down this Seadoo 951 today. Hmmmm, piston and head both banged up good. The coating on the piston skirt is not very worn, leading me to believe this didn't run very many hours before failing. C-clip missing on one side. You can see where it rode up and down on the...

Little update. I got the replacement impeller and still had issues. I set up a stand on the workbench and tested runout on pump shaft, completely dis-assembled the pump to make sure ALL bearings were fully seated and square, tried another pump shaft........came to the conclusion possibly it was...
