Why a Heavy Flywheel Yields More Top Speed

Back in late 90’s early 2000’s a company called Fluidamper, still one of the biggest in automotive aftermarket, made dampers (their technology in our coupler design) out of stainless. They were used a lot of race Kaw triples and some on Yamaha’s. I had a few. Hard to find.

    ISO: 760 stator GOt ONE

Adding - I recently had an oem 760 stator stop working (charging battery). Yes oem flywheel with no mods. Ski still runs just doesn’t charge. I have had peculiar run of bad luck with 760 stuff (lightened wheels I bought) and now an actual oem freshwater stator failed

Great news! We put my new unused 22’ pole on an 09’ Round Nose Here is the trick: Kawasaki 750/800 spring and bend the long side straight and keep the rubber roller on it. Leave the short side rubber on. Insert long end into left tube. When you get it bolted together make sure you run a...

    Crankshaft stroker +6

Your transfer timing will be so high with a 61x 62t cylinder and that crank as described. Plan on sticking the piston out of the hole some to gain some back. There was a reason the industry walked away from 5mm/125 rod cranks in about 94/95. They were the limit on rod ratio and 6m6 650...

SOLD R&D Cylinder Lamey Cyl (needs repair)

8mm cranks use mainly 133 rods (stock Kawasaki and/or Suzuki Tigershark) Some billet Rad cranks used 132 Rad or 132 KTM. I also know of a couple that ran 135 GPR rods to run SXR pistons What is needed is what is the total cylinder height. What is the exhaust height to top of cylinder and what...

    Superjet actual weights

it’s dry. Maybe the parts are more than 35. I know the pump setup is easy 10+ more than oem. Anyone have a picture of a superjet on a scale near 300lb? I’ve never seen one.

    Charging system troubleshooting

Majority of the charging issues I have personally encountered and seen with others is on lightened flywheels. See JC’s post. I experienced charging issues on two flywheels I worked on that were lightened by so called experts on this board. They honesty didn’t know they inadvertently screwed...

R&D "Semi Dry" exhaust... anyone ever use one? PFA

Good power That’s the wet pipe. The semi dry I’ve only seen 1 and it had a water jacket on the diffuser portion of the stamped aluminum then from the belly back it was wet. Almost like a Mach2 I’m concept
