good things come to thoes who wait, but for others, they get lucky!
I waited, and I scored this off CL monday for $50! now I have a motor next year to put in the 550
agreed! I repainted and turfed my 750SS from the neon purples and pinks to something more moderen. But Make sure you do a compresion test, and get it preforming right before you spend alot of time with the preaty stuff. Its easier to repace a rideplateor impeller than to repaint and turf a ski IMO
I duno, I am doing a good job beating it up! and I just put a sweet bandaid decal over a huge paint chip on the front. I think maybe next year I may paint the bottom black since its taken the most abuse
Ive never riden one, I just got my 550 a few months ago, but people say they are good to start with, and they handle better than a 550. But you will get the ovious buy a SJ from someone if you ask. Whats your price range?

I'm messing with mine now, but I've read that the pop off should be around 20. I'm going to go with a 2.3 needle and seat. And most people use the 100-110 low and 120-130 high as a starting point.
I've never heard of people reversing the low/high jets before.
I'm going through the same now so we can work on this together. Did you read the SBN manual? it will help alot with tunning.

The standard for a sbn on a 550 is the dull shiny spring, 100-110 low...
