you dont need 12.6 volts or higher to turn a starter... that might be the best but it will turn it under that. I would check 1) make sure the motor is not siezed (spin with had an coupler) 2) jump your solenoid , those make a click when they are bad most of the time.

last year with my 840cc motor the 148 skat made a huge improvement!!!! anyone who down plays it either 1) didnt have a 148 2)has to small of an engine 3)never tried one!!!!

as long as the squish band on each dome is the same (.035" i believe for ada domes) the squish will remain the same.
