hahaha... I guess that would be considered an epic lake day. It was pretty bumpy and erie(hehe) and the current was carrying me @ 1/4 mile down the beach each wave. I'd be at home riding lake chop and would like to ride some fresh water waves.
Yup... Raining with sideshore winds howling, choppy as can be with swells coming in every direction and the current was ripping but the beach was empty... Perfect!!!
You got tubbies??? Try cutting that ride plate off straight across at @- 2.5-3in. befor shorting your hull. Also think it would be better to work with a fiberglass plate that can be added to and re-inforced if neccesary. Cutting a stock plate removes the re-inforcment ribs and they crack easily.
Here's a vid of some of my boy's first jumps... Brings back childhood memories for me. I just got a 24' BMX bike... I'll be doing more ridding soon:bigok:
Added some bondline lip around the nose this week. Much better!!! I can drive thru steep sections eaiser, it turns quciker too. I'm starting to like my boat again:drive:
Yea buddy!!! Sorry for not getting back with you in the fall...Today was the first I've ridden in a year. Would like to get together for some Corson rides... I heard it's breaking good down there. I'd like to ride Brig tonight befor dark, wanna ride???
Added a recess to the front of the tray. This works nice:biggthumpup: I can widen my stance witch makes it easier to get low and move my weight back and forth. Also move the exhaust outlet again and gave 1 of the boobs on my hood a reduction.
I went full circle on the tail... I cut a bunch off then slowly added it back. The back corners are back to the stock hull length and the rideplate is still at -3in. So far I'm like how this works instead of how a short hull with long rideplate handles.
This is still a "work in progress" :aargh4: Here's this years batch of hacks. First the nose has been cut back some with the bottom rocker extending above the bondline:
Rode today for the first time since doing this mod along with a few others. This nose shape works really good for wave ridding. I was coming in steep on some stab re-entrys and snaps in shallow water where I thought it would dive to the bottom. Nope... Just had to lean back and hold on. It also...
