anybody ever see this happen? : no needle bearings on rod big end? and no damage to the pistons, head or bore??? i was riding bouys on sunday on the big bore b1 when i suddenly lost RPMs. i idled back to shore and the coupler was HOT and i could feel play in the crank. too the engine apart...

i was pumping out a hull in the yard today by holding the wires of a loose rule bilge pump to a random battery i had laying around.... halfway through pumping the water out, my curiousity got the best of me and i decided to switch the polarity to see whatd happen. to my surprise, it still pumped...
