Yeah I agree, shorten it at the top and get rid of that ridiculous bend. Don't use aluminum rivets, I snapped them in the first ride when I used them. I've never personally seen one with stainless rivets break but it's always possible... I used expoxy with some filler.

Hey dj I just got the tachyon but haven't had a chance to try it yet other than strapping it to the dog. I got a wallet-sized clear dry bag I'm going to use for the remote. Should be better than the old atc2k at least. I'd let you check it out in daytona but rumor has it you pussed out on...

I've seen dozens run for years modded and never seen one crack but a spare or new one is <$20 new I think. umi or any sort of metal bearing system is a waste of $$$ if you are around salt, imo. there're other options like stock or xmw, not sure what else.

huge diff when you do it all together

Move that pivot out at the steering plate, then in a little at the turn nozzle, then loosen the small nut at either end of the steering cable and adjust the big piece (I think counter clockwise) until your steering is re-aligned on center, then notch both sides of your nozzle so it does not bind...

If you have a stock pole, might want to consider trimming your stock turn plate. http://www.wavejunkies.com/surf-survival/61-mod-straight-bars and of course doing the quick steer mod at your nozzle (move pivot in) as well as moving the steering cable pivot out to the furthest hole on the turn...

yeah there was no way i coulda made this. had a good little ride in the lake but went to swap the impeller and found my wear ring was cracked. parts on order again... thanks for the motivation to wrench scott :drillsergeant:
