Would a ball joint pulled work or am I missing the point of how this piece of :-):-):-):-) comes apart? I used the bigger hammer, maybe need a bigger swinger?
I like the deustch connectors for the stator. Phil @ P&P Performance did mine. I think the crimp tool costs $200-300. Here's a write-up on how we've been using them to make the ebox's swappable.
What's this "we are" biz talking about without cooling restrictors? What did gramps say, welcome to 2005 torr?
Nah I think what torr is asking is what temp is ideal? I always shot for 90-105 degree operating temperature in the Winter because that was most comfortable for redirecting the...
Yeah the only reason to do the bracket is if all you have are some cheapy harbor freight drill bits and don't have the patience for drilling through stainless. I did this bracket for a friend but he had to move the pivot at the nozzle back out to its normal spot for the cable to not bind.
Yeah you can either drill a new hole further out where your steering cable mounts to the bar assembly or you can make a little extender bracket. Then you have to notch the rear of your turn nozzle so it doesn't bind against the exit nozzle. Then if you still need more turn then move the pivot...
I don't plan on the outlet being below the waterline during any turns that matter... Anyways I got a lot more procrastinating to do before I get to this point. Thanks guys I'll post up pics and a review of whatever I end up doing. If anyone has actually tried this before, I'd love to hear how...
Cool thanks eddie. I'm thinking just out the side near the back to keep it a little quieter so I can goof in the neighborhood too without the neighbors pitching a fit.
WCF seems to do rear side only and without some flange diverter thing (see how it's flush out the side in this pic) so I...
The back would seem to be more affected by big tail landings. Also it'd take a little more fanangling to get it back there as opposed to simply flipping it from the pump to the side.
Anyone got experience saying out the back is better than out the side? WCF, XFT, etc all throw their sj...
Yeah I'm mainly concerned if there are any performance issues by dumping the exhaust out the side where it has to push through the added pressure of all that water to get out? Has anyone tried it? Saw a thread where LBE was talking about it but it sounded like he went with a front exh too...
So I opened the back deck on my Blaster last night and removed most of the styrofoam. It looks super easy to flip that exhaust outlet 180 degrees and have it go out the side instead of into the pump cavity. Why don't people do this more often, am I missing something or would the water rushing...
I shot some vid at Daytona with my Tachyon but it got really washed out pointed anywhere near sunlight or reflections so it pretty much sucked. I'm not even excited about cutting the footage but I guess I gotta get around to it and at least email them to see if the problem is normal or not...
Phil I jbwelded an old carb fitting for a second pulse line and it's held fine for two years. I drilled the hole just the right size so I had to freeze the fitting to get it to fit in the hole too.
Don't sweat the lean. It does not affect your turning (maybe it does stock, not sure). Look into doing the steering/throw mods for a lot more control of your turns. Tried a quick search and couldn't find any writeups but they're out there...
I'm sure this has been discussed before but I got overwhelmed with ADD looking for the info :439: And I've never taken one apart I just know I got slop and rust.
What all do I need to get and where should I get it? Are there sealed or stainless options for the bearings? Looking for the...
