PVC! just make sure its clean and has no burs

I am hoping for good results. I didn't think of using regular 90*, but that's ok. I was planing on booting it onto the top of my curent rail and having a backing plate or washers on the bottom. I don't think it would have to much of a difference if it was on the top or bottom, I know my rails...

JJC568, if you look at the freak, the front is smooth, but the rear does have rails I am not gluing my rails on, I was planing on bolting them on every 6 inches. My new rails I drew up and sent off are 2" on the top, and 1" tall, and on the bottom of the rail they go to 3.25" like a Trinity.

The hull I got already had them cut off, that's why I'm putting them back on.

I hate doing glass work for one, and it is not an issue of lasting but if it has been done. I am also wondering on how they preform and with bolt on, I can change them as needed without having to spend days reglassing new rails.

thanks! I got the foam and glassed the ass, 2 layers of chop mat, and 4 of 12oz to thicken it way up.

Foam!!! I sanded the rear some more, and since I'm not removing the tray, I grinded the sides down some to accept the new glass. I also fitted my scupper tube sleeves. Put some new ride plate inserts in and foamed the rear up so I can shape it, tomorrow, I glass! More pics for anyone that is...

I think I have abandoned my dreams of glassing the rails, and I am going to go aluminum. I then have the option to change them out, and less work to make them. I did go crazy tonight and chopped the hull -2! I need to grind some more off, but the good news is I have dry foam!

Crab, I'm a little confused on what you are describing. Your tubbies or the rails? I think I'm going to go aluminum. One long piece and segment the curve up front. Once it's turfed you won't be able to tell anyway.

You just had to do it outside because heating up PVC off gasses some nasty stuff. And like I said, if the ski is outside all the time and you heat it to much it gets brittle. That's why I am thinking aluminum
