The waves depend on the wind big time, the cape has the point on it that blocks most wind and waves. We are getting braver going farther. We made it to the old Titan launch pad and the waves were about 3 foot and off shore. We are working a way to get more gas and supply's out so we can hang out...
I wear a pair of the bomber glasses, its more for just keeping the spray out of my face. The have foam to keep them to your face and they float, but I use them with my helmet so that keeps them on
Hey that's where I live! Been here for years! Pm me and I will let you know where and when we ride. There is a group of us.
To see it on a mobile phone, just open the link in your browser and you can watch it that way on the regular site
Speleopwer and I took the skis out of port Canaveral yesterday, had a good time, but I didnt get all of the footage where the good stuff happened. Small waves, but still a good time.
I just ran one hose. The one in the front only gets air from the front holes, the one in the rear gets the air from the top vents. Pour some water in them and check it out. If you are pluggin up the front holes, the front tube isnt even needed
I've been using mine in the surf and flat water and haven't had any of those issues. I run a wdk lowered bracket and tight pole, was it just not liking a tight pole and what were you doing that could have bent it?
Hey that's my old hood! I blocked the front holes too and it cut the water intake by half. When plowing through a wave my bilge wouldn't kick in since the water would drain out the back instead of having to go into the hull
I get the marine switches from my local ace hardware, crimp on the connectors, then coat the whole thing epoxy. Then I use the rubber boot on the outside. I ride mostly salt and no problems for years
to me, and the others that have ridden it, it is a huge improvement over stock, the ski feels much wider and stable, much better in the white wash. And when turning at high speeds, it grips much better too. The further you cut back the rear, the more you can make it slide out.
here is a video...
well, after testing fit on another RN SJ, and making a few test sets I am happy enough to call them good. I could have left them bolted on with some SS hardware and silicon like I had, but I went for the epoxy with some cabosil to stick them a bit better. I dont know if anyone else wants or has...
nothing special, just playing around on my ski. Did a bull dog at the end. All of my double back flips didnt make it in somehow, but you can see my wide rail conversion kit I made in it

I just did this on my build. Depending on your SN year, the midshaft is different if the RN hull doesn't come with it. Throttle cable and steering cable are a bit longer on the RN too, but other than that, everything else bolts right up.
