Flipping couches for fun and profit

I have never had to deal with one that was too thick before I do know if it's missing or damaged it will not idle at all. I would also double check the series of holes under that plate and the black plastic piece if one or more of the bypass holes is clogged it won't idle either.

In the pic below in the box marked 10687 but they do not have a separate part number for the check valve .

Flipping couches for fun and profit

A lot of the skis I get were given to me, that is partially why I keep the service business open , usually they want to dump the ski and keep the trailer though , free is always a good place to start on a flip ski.

    Need advise on 750 swap

I would put a decent pipe on there and see what's what , that Kerker pipe is barely better than a stocker, a dried out modded stock pipe might even be faster , look for a Coffman or even a Westcoast or the new PJS pipe if you are not planning to swap , if you even think you might engine swap it...

Flipping couches for fun and profit

On Hiatus from couch flipping for a few days, I had to retrieve a 2016 Seadoo GTI from a customer for repairs ,it needs a wear ring replaced , that's an easy job so I left it there , while I was up there I got a customer to drop off a Waverunner XL 760 for repairs and consignment sale . I do...

    Need advise on 750 swap

Lots of if's there , if you already have the 650 why not , a pipe that works well on a 650 usually doesn't on a 750 , basically on a 750 you need a B pipe period , go back and read what he already has , to me it looks like he is maybe an exhaust pipe , a head and a carb away from having a...

    Need advise on 750 swap

A properly ported 650 with a decent pipe, head and a 44 carb will run circles around a small pin 750 in an X2 if it's set up correctly .

    Need advise on 750 swap

Any 750 motor you put in that hull is going to need a really good pipe to get power out of it , with a stock pipe or a KERKER it will only be marginally faster if at all.

    Hydrospace s4 2stroke conversion

You are going to have to become quite friendly with your local machinist on that one.

    Cheap power

All of those aftermarket pipes are like that , blue loctite minimum , I have used red before on some , if you ever let the bolts get loose they enlarge the bolt holes like a round file , until the bolt holes are fixed it will never stay put, exact same thing on 720 Seadoos , I used to have...

Flipping couches for fun and profit

The best two I have seen so far is the car distributor bolted through the oil pump hole in the mag cover on a 750 Kawi and the guy that ran wire through the trim cable housing on a GP 800 , he made a loop in the wire and would pull it by hand to trim the ski , brilliant , those two were epic...

Flipping couches for fun and profit

I have no issues swapping stuff but it has to work when I get done , period, I won't let one go out the door unless it is right and tight , call it a character flaw, old school values , work ethic whatever , it's the right thing to do , I sent you a message about the impeller , if it comes down...

    Superchicken wont hit max RPM

I am interested to see what he come up with because I will be running basically the same setup in mine , for now it will probably get a small pin with that pipe because I have one available out of an ST 750 , I am going to build a big pin to go in it for later.

Also if you just leave it alone for 10 or 15 minutes it usually comes off without peeling the decals up , the alcohol takes a bit of time to dry the water up. but yeah I am impatient, I know it's a character flaw , probably too late to change now. Time to go stretch some vinyl on some seats I...

550 vs Fx1 vs Super Jet

Depends on what you want to do with it , if we are talking about a stock machine and you are going to leave it that way FX1 hands down , if you are going to do mods to it I would go Superjet all day long, the FX1 is going to need a very expensive pump swap to handle more power and the 550 , well...

Update , bad Start stop switch , a new one is on the way , I unplugged the start and stop at the e-box , plugged the black -white into the red- brown , hit the stop button and it started right up , I took the switches apart , inside they are perfect , amazingly clean for a ski this old , I...

    Hydrospace s4 2stroke conversion

Yes Yamaha 800 power valve motor , I have no way to know without looking and or test fitting but it might go in there in it's lay down configuration , that pipe does not take up nearly as much real estate as 951 pipe does and looking where they ran the pipe to on the left side it already...

Flipping couches for fun and profit

I went and picked up a Stupidjet from a customer late yesterday , he tried to put a solenoid in it and now it doesn't spin over , possibly needs the starter rebuilt, I hope not because it has a Riva red pipe on it and the starter probably isn't coming out easily for sure.

Decals are in and they are installed , I am glad I went with the 34" Seadoo decals , they covered up a whole lot of ugly . That took about 10 minutes, I have put so many on that it's just not a big deal anymore , the trick on these is the application fluid , 50% alcohol , 50% water , one drop...
