I used the flat turf on mine too for sides and rails. I love the look and ease of it. No pattern to line up. My next builds will be the same way.
Nice build by the way! Ski looks great!
In a hurry to get it on the water and broke in before Surf Slam, I did not. I need to modify it just a bit to fit in this SXR hull. I am running the resonator for now.
Once I get the box modified and tested, I'll update this.
Do you have a certain gas in particular you are looking at? Cause it would really depend on what you are running and what you are planning on running.
For instance, gasoline with 10% ethanol (E10) is stoichiometric at 14.13:1
Sunoco Racing 260 GT (100 octane) with 3.3% oxygen is...
I saw it on my phone yesterday (I think) and just remembered about it and wanted to check it out on the computer, but now I can't find it.
I know I'm not imagining things.
Was it posted in the wrong spot and now I can't find it? I swear I've looked through all the forums.
Some on here wouldn't even THINK of running a Kawi based engine even though IF it was possible by the questions I've posed, one could build a budget 921 with 89mm pistons while using SJ exhaust and ignition. I'll get with DASA and get some info.
My question was not meant to de-rail your...
Yep, just a massaged SXR engine....nothing you'd be interested in....lol
Talk to Matt about his previous setups from Art. He should have some good input on the subject.
Yep, exactly what mine does when I switch back.
Jett said that The Darkness is no a longer a supported theme, so those with issues may be stuck with them if all else fails.
Is that an adjustable pole? They had issues with the older fixed length poles (I broke one), but I haven't heard or seen an adjustable one break yet. Just curious.
I have had the same issue for quite some times, but it only happens on the Darkness using my work computer running IE.
For everyone having this problem, give Boring Blue a try.
I am going to guess my tray is 3/16 to 1/4. I alternately laid carbon-glass-carbon-glass. The carbon I had was a stitched biaxial (like knytex but no mat), so it was at a 45* angle and my glass is 90*, so I used the combination to make sure I had the rigidity in all directions.
Kevlar has...
Check out a Superfreak, there is a larger (deaper) bond line on the rear sides than a stock SJ has. You CAN have it both ways; handling and fliping.
The rear of the bond line across the back doesn't really do anything, you can cut that off.
Tom jokes about grinding the hull down to the gel, but I actually did that during my build....on accident in a couple spots, but the glass was paper thin from the motor mounts to the nose. This was so I could add structure back into the hull without just adding weight.
For the Kevlar...I'd 86...
Here's an honest question for you engine gurus:
So lets say I take a big pin Kawi bottom end with a (stock...obviously welded) 74mm crank and put a Kawi Dasa cylinder that (assuming it can be done) has the same port setup as a +6mm Yamaha cylinder and even has a Yamaha exhaust pattern (Dasa...
They give an okay description of each curve, but you can call them and ask what curve they would recommend given your modifications. An engine builder would do the same. Art programmed my Advent with a custom curve of his own.
Any reason you can't copy someone else's curve?
For instance, one of the curves from Advent (here's the link).
I have no personal experience, just curious.
