DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

Eh I mean idk if I’d risk that the early ones didn’t even have tinned wire. Not sure if trust it. I guess you could run the MSD coils external to the box though.

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

There’s some info way back in this thread about spark energy having more to do with whatever is in the ignition that charges the coil. Gotta do more research on that but seems reasonable. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible to run MSD coils with zeel also - just can’t get em in an oem box

State of the industry - 2021

Would love some info on the state of carbs. I guess not much has changed? Everybody seems hot on the SE carbs right now. Seems like XS52s are kinda meh, novis are great as are FS but he puts out a new version every year which is ... idk, strange? Haven’t heard much about other big carb mfgs or...

State of the industry - 2021

I run zeel on an XS1200 (66e) with a chopped up gp800 front cover. You can also run the very expensive wdk cover. I have a post or two in the zeel thread about it.

    MSD total loss discontinued ?

This is what the jet ski world needs!! I, for one, say good riddance to the MSD. Really dated and unreliable tech.

    MSD total loss discontinued ?

More motivation for someone to make an aluminum zeel compatible flywheel/pickup :)

Fuel - how old is too old

Awesome info Jr. - thanks bud! The only reason it wasn’t used is cause I sprained my ankle and knee (small fracture) doing one footers in October. I never leave gas unused haha!

Fuel - how old is too old

Ya I figured it would probably be totally fine and I’ve done it in the past. Big dollar motor at 210psi makes me nervous though.

Fuel - how old is too old

Lol man the advice is all over the place! I poured it in my generator and mower. Idk why I even considered running it. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Fuel - how old is too old

Ya idk why I’m overthinking this. It’s a friggin XS1200. Not cheap to replace lol. I’m not gonna risk it to save a few bucks of klotz.

Fuel - how old is too old

Oh totally I do it all the time. Sorry, I was more asking if I should go ahead and run it in the ski

Fuel - how old is too old

I’m going to FL for jet ski school and have two full 5 gallons of 93 mixed with klotz from October. Was gonna pour it into every gas powered thing I have and get fresh fuel. Is that dumb? Is it fine or am I smart to dump it? thanks! -Jordan

    Trim set ups??

I assume it needs a stop welded on the bottom also, no? Guess you could run without the stop idk

    ET 967 Tuning Thread

If it’s the same cutback and otherwise the same I’d say you will be fine. You can pretty easily bend a prop one degree if you want also.

    Rev hull

    ET 967 Tuning Thread

Anyone ever asked art what he gets for a new crank? He builds his own these days. I also wonder if he does rebuilds? Gotta be cheaper then a $900 normal crank rebuild right?

    Other Jet Ski Gloves

Also use these and they do suck. Go through a few pairs per season. They look nice though. I use hand warmers (rerouted exhaust pisser) in the winter. Wet suit gloves are too thick and I don’t wanna let a ski go mid flip in cold water.
