2013 World Final winning Ant Burgess DVX with low hour XS1200. Ski runs great and absolutely rips. I purchased this ski about a month ago and have decided to go a different direction and just keep my havoc and repair it (which I've done). The hull is not perfect but looks great from 5 feet...
+1 to the Miata. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned (92 I think it was). Watch for rear rocker rust. They aren’t fast but the handling makes them feel very quick. Just a blast to drive and very reliable. Cheap to maintain as well.
That’s a good price. Some would say a great price given the market right now. For reference, I sold my 99 SJ last year Mid season for $3300 and had a lot of interested buyers. Similar mods and a Coffman pipe and ported motor.
What are you guys making heel lock out of? I tried layered underpaid but it was too soft. Tried yoga blocks but they tore. Right now I’m using layered harbor freight padding lol. Is there a good stuff foam u use?
Ya that’s nuts. I’ve been battling foot holds for a long time. I finally got a solid heel lock on the ride side yesterday so had the confidence to try these again. I’m tired of smashing my legs when I come disconnected
Hey all,
I was trying one footed backflips last night and could never land cause I couldn't get my foot back in the hold or even on the tray. Whats the trick? I think i might have been extending my foot back too far or maybe waiting too long to get back to the tray? Maybe this is a really...
AMEN! jet ski parts are pretty much ALL crap. I've not received one part from a manufacturer in the jet ski world that I was happy with. The crap customers put up with in this sport is unfathomable. In no other aspect of my life would i EVER be ok with the complete crap customer service and...
great point @Jr. - take my advice with a grain of salt as well! I'm certainly no expert nor have I put together a lot of engines. To that point though, you probably have Paul :) - what are your thoughts on the epoxy finger ramp thing?
I have a $20k policy with SafeCo and I just went through the claim process when my hull cracked very bad. It was painless. It got totaled but I could buy it back and title stayed clear. I got a very big check to do a hull replacement - little over $15k.
Looks great! Kinda makes sense since the foam can conform a bit easier then the turf. I’ll prob give this a shot next time I’m out (after I fix my hull that’s cracked all the way across the bottom lol)
Get tinned wire. I bought mine from McMaster Carr. I still can’t find a 4 pin connector with tinned wire though. If anyone has found one please post a link!
Have u checked the power valves aren’t broken? Apparently u can see them in the spark plug holes - that’s a suggestion from local guy with an XL800 who just blew it up when valves broke/dropped.
I could be wrong but that sounds like it takes forever to rev up. Does not sound right to me. Sending to a buddy with an XL800 to compare. I’ll let u know what he says
