That blockoff is going to corrode pretty fast even in fresh water since you removed any anodizing. Stainless would have lasted longer. Keeping it waxed will help.

I would give the 650 a try since someone spent a lot of time porting it and it is a fresh 701 bore. with new pistons. Worst case scenario is you don't like it and are out a couple gaskets.

If it is routed correctly the gas tank vents out through the handpole, not into the hull.

Actually a little rich, not lean. Perfect would be if the inner porcelain was cocoa brown. Always safe to be a little rich. But if it is stock you should be good to go.

That’s probably the issue. All aftermarket replacement electrical parts are crap. Just like I said above, cheap Chinese junk.
