Maybe fuel delivery? I had a similar issue when I cleaned out my fuel filter. Engine would crank without turning over till the battery died. I ended up putting the battery on boost charge for like 15 minutes then dumped some fuel directly down carb and it fired right up.
Closest public lake to me is Wolverine so I got there to practice. Weekends I'll usually go
to one of Orchard/Cass/Union Lake.
Where do you ride? I try to limit my driving because I have a damn lease and wayyy over miles already haha
Just looking for a bit more oomf to get more air. I'm not lucky enough to ride in the surf otherwise I wouldn't care to mod. I think the 9/15 hooker will be a good start. I don't plan on modding the hell out of it or anything. Just seeking options for a quick upgrade for slightly more low end power.
Yeah seems that's what everyone else recommends. I've never ridden a 701. Only a few Kawi 750's for a few minutes. How much do Superjets differ in terms of power and handling? Is it drastic like upgrading from a 600 to 1000 bike?
I have a 93 SN and I'm looking for more low end power to be able to get a higher launch off my setup wakes and was wondering what affordable upgrades might get me that extra HP I'm looking for? I'm leaning towards possibly a pipe and/or impeller (OEM /aftermarket). Is it even worth spending the...
Yup. Just got back from the lake and damn it ran like a champ! So fuel filter was the culprit. Now I don't know if I feel like taking it apart again and rebuilding once my Mikuni kit gets delivered Monday lol
I guess they're a little hard but not so much on the brittle side. I mean if I try twisting them with needle nose pliers the rubber starts to come off pretty easily..
I would be able to ride without hood no problem but nowhere around with flat water.
This might sound completely noobish but should smoke be coming out of the rear exhaust? If I run it on my trailer on the water I can see smoke (not a lot though) coming out. And when out of water I can...
Yeah I tried with needle nose pliers but the rubber just started ripping off. They're original lines so I think they're on for good. Any recommendations on upgrading the fuel lines? Those things have got to be clogged up by now.
Trying to pull off the fuel lines on my carb but they are on there good. What's the best way to remove them? Just cut with scissors and use fresh ends when reinstalling?
Will do thanks. Also one person told me another good starting point to my bog issue is to reset the high/low speed jets back to factory specs. Said it's possible the previous owner could've mucked with the settings or could've changed on its own somehow over the years. Should I bother with this...
Yeah I plan on cleaning out the fuel filter once I rebuild the carbs. Should I remove the fuel selector and clean it out to make sure no build up is causing blockage?
Sup guys! Finally part of the stand up ski family. Bought my first 93 Superjet a few days ago and really excited to get into it!
So my ski is bone stock and actually pretty clean from the looks of things. I took it out to the lake the other day and after 5 min or so it bogged down. Couldn't get...
