Can I get replacement bolts for the flywheel cover at my local hardware store? Are they 17mm? Can't find any specs via the part #. There are a bunch of bolts that are either missing or the wrong size

Well we'll see. Seemed like a popular choice among others so I figured I'd give it a whirl. And it doesn't help that I'm getting crazy impatient lol I just want to get some ride time in and haven't had the pleasure since I bought it so I'll put up with a tough removal if it puts me on the water...

I ordered a few parts to replace including the pump seal. Yesterday I temporarily sealed it with 5200 so today I'll find out if that was the culprit. I'm learning a bunch as I go and doing things myself but hey.. It beats paying triple at the shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bad intermediate bearing? That might explain all that water I took on while idling only..

Thanks If my midshaft is truly rounded out, wouldn't that mean the impeller won't spin any faster than it does in idle? I would also expect more wear on my driveshaft. Reason I ask is because if give it throttle the prop spits a ton of water (10x more than when idling) which leads me to believe...

Is there a quick way to test the alignment? I have a feeling my midshaft splines are stripped so I'm not gonna put all my hope on a new pump seal.

Just for s**ts and giggles, would this silicone work? Got some spare laying around the house. It even says water ready in 3 hours! Haha

Yup will do. Gonna stop by my local marine shop and see if they have any in stock. In the meantime I gotta fix this damn starter issue now :/

I do have a little bit of forward movement but not much after idling out. And it's hard to tell how midshaft looks without pulling the motor. I think they look decent peeking at it with a flashlight.

So I pulled the pump and the driveshaft splines look good. However the pump seal is nowhere to be found! Yikes..

I removed the grate and plate and everything seems normal. Impeller checks out.. no obstructions and pump housing looks to be in good shape. I attached some pics. I guess next step will be pulling the pump and inspecting driveshaft/midshaft splines for wear. Side note: That problem I initially...

Hmm I think I would've noticed if the motor had any slop by now but I'll double check when I get home and also check for any obstructions in the impeller. I'll keep you guys updated thanks.

Hey guys, bought a new ski the other day but I'm having this weird issue where it doesn't want to move when given gas. It'll fire right up and Idle perfectly fine in water and moves while idling.. until applying a small amount of throttle when trying to idle out which then forward propulsion...
