G-flex and zip tie holders (with peel-n-stick removed).
Hood pad on at a jaunty angle to clear the hood straps.
e box in!
Limited Slip tank strap bracket cut and bent.
All done! Almost...need spiral wrap for plug wires and water lines.
...and the other way.
Thank you. It's getting closer!
Pipe hooked up last night (again).
Last holes drilled in the hull: hood straps installed.
KP pole together. Blowsion steering with $35 rockymountain atv 1 1/8 inch bars. They're called "Chub" lol. Going to cut about an inch off each side.
Didn't like my first attempt at the bilge wiring. Redid last night running it to a rotary switch I stole from an SXR.
Engine in hopefully for good until fall *knock on wood*.
Bilge switch and primer bulb installed in dash. Only holes left to drill should be the hood straps...
Thanks! Fab'ed up e box mount with some spare .125 aluminum. Put some 3/8" thick 1.5" wide nylon spacers behind the plate to stand it off the bulkhead. Would've loved to put some lightening holes in it and pretty it up more but my deadline looms. I'll do that next winter along with other mods...
First twin breather handlepole / bracket we've put together and with a HD spring no less. What a PITA. I love how these springs require modification. Anyway, after I route the steering cable through the hoses, it'll be time to go back to the engine compartment...
I considered it but there's not a whole lot of room in this area so I went with this arrangement. The alternative was blocking off one of the ex mani inlets but I had just drilled it anyway so I just went with it.
My "Y" didn't work because it kinked the hoses. It was a PITA too so...
Engine back out! Line on left now has connector fitting for easy engine removal. Line on the right will connect to an inline filter as it's going to feed the exhaust.
Made a new fitting for the exhaust mani (copied the idea...
On my SXR I run a RN AC pole with a modified Blowsion HD Kawasaki-style pole spring and a limiting rope. I like the "0" pound handlepole feel where it moves but feels weightless. It settles right where you naturally hold it and the close tolerance pole bushings keep it from bouncing around too...
