Along with the above, get a "Freestyle" pump cone like a Blowsion one around $45 is an easy add on. Lightening the flywheel is helpful too.

I had the same problem before. When you take it apart, lightly (LIGHTLY) sand the sides of the bushings where they touch the pole bracket with fine sandpaper.

Came out better than I had expected.

Trimmed the padding off of a blowsion chin pad, reinforced it with carbon, and turfed it. Cut up an old stainless bracket from a couch and turned it into a face pad mounting bracket. Time to mount the face pad...

Cut off the heel hooks, stripped down to glass, and glued 26mil padding under the footholds and 9 mil on top to protect me! Wrapped the whole thing with molded diamond HT. Test ride tomorrow...
