Here are some pix Ross and Zack have been posting to Facebook while they are in France getting ready for the event. They are on smartphones so it's easier for them to post pix to FB. You might want to check out their FB pages.
The folks at Lightweight.de have put together some nice rides...
I sent a message to Max through Facebook asking how the roll effect at 30 secs was done. I asked if it was special camera mount. He said "Sorry for my bad answer but I don’t know how he did exactly, I know he work hard on his computer". He also said to message Charles Dasher. I just sent...
Has anyone asked the custom hull builders what their customers do for insurance?
There were other companies on the previous Google search I mentioned. You might have to make a few phone calls to find one that would insure you.
I did another Google search for:
custom boat insurance

I could see a regular insurance company possibly doing liability only. Covering the ski itself would be beyond their limited minds.
I Googled for:
high performance boat insurance
The first link was >50k and >26 feet
A few link down looked potentially promising...
Looking good! I noticed you are being nice to the bottom putting it on a trailer in the water with carpeted bunks. Not using the aluminum scissor stands. It's going to hurt watching it get thrashed on the beach.
If you are worried get an automatic bilge pump. I remember a houseboat trip where my bilge would run for 17 seconds every 1.25 hours all through the day and night. The water sounds made you want to get up and whiz.
Awesome moves and great surf. I wish I could be on shore with 25x zoom to get more detail. The GoPro fish eye effect makes it hard to see the action.
Is it a Gopro HD? It looks like they are shooting 720 which makes it a 170 degree view angle. 1080 makes it a little more reasonable...

Since there are signs of life on this section (not the thread, one up one level from here) should we get it renamed to GO 2011?
Does Matt have the power?
The 14' swells were breaking over the sandbar that is 1/3 of a mile out onto "Surf Slam beach" last weekend. It was a white, frothy sloppy mess. Everyone was getting their butt kicked but still had a good time:
In case anyone gets bored waiting for Zach's vid here is some from the Northwest spring break freeride last weekend at "Surf Slam" beach. It was 14' tall breaking over the sandbar that was 1/3 of a mile out. A real mess to ride in:
Everyone was so beat from Saturday no one rode Sunday when...
It's called fluid dynamics not hydrodynamics. It might be best to go shopping online. Amazon.com started as a book store. Here is a search there for fluid dynamics:

It's a known issue. You can use Google to search only the X using the instructions in post #2 here:
