Haha yeah I heard cutting the pink foam is about as much fun as removing the old foam! I guess i'll just use a combination of both like you suggested.

But what would be the advantage of using the pink foam at all, if the urethane pour foam doesn't absorb water and would give better strength?

I cut the tray out, not sure if i'm going to reuse the tray at all. There was a good amount of foam that was soaked with water, especially bellow the tray where it was cracked. Now i'm ready for the fun task of removing all the foam!

i've had a stock superjet my whole life, whats the difference from a trim system to the nozzle set up? Also can you still buy a bearing rebuild kit for that steering setup? lastly if i cut my pole -3 should I still go with a shortened turn plate?
