I have a custom 10/15 Skat that was pitched by Torrent with a 5mm cut back. Was only in the boat for 2 weeks and has about 2 hours on it. Still basically brand new with no marks or nicks if interested.

I used a Dasa base gasket with no issues or trimming. Power valve gasket??? Power valves on ET use an O ring.

Tom, I have an original Trendsetter Chan ride plate that has never been mounted. Is that something you could build a mold off of and make a few plates? If so, I could send it your way.

LOL, don't feel bad. I am at 39 degrees, and the curve I am running is far more aggressive than what I have seen. Guess it kind of depends where you want your power to show up at.

The aluminum plates came from Steve Bach, the picture with 4 plates, 2 nice cut ones were made by Carter, top left is junk from Twangled, and top right is an uncut and unmounted Original Trendsetters plate. Carter has a few Carbon and Glass ones still for sale as well.

Get with Steve Bach. He built me 2 aluminum ride plates for my Trendsetters Chan, and not 1 issue ever in the past year. He made 1 short and 1 long for surf and flatwater.

2 new ones, but noticed 1 is from Twangled, and I am sure you can tell. 2 that I used to use, and lastly ALUMINUM chan ride plates Steven Bach can make.

I do believe builders give a basic starting point, which is just that, a starting point. I have noticed with a few friends that have gotten specs for other motors from builders that where way fat, but I guess it is better to be fat than lean.
