So, naturally I'm not at the lake and my son calls with a ski problem. It's an 08 Superjet with stock ignition with newer MSD plug wires and MSD enhancer. Ski runs fantastic the past 3 months, but last weekend it died all of the sudden while he was just cruising around. Strange, but it fired...

Our 2016 XFS looks just as good and feels just as solid now as it was when new. I think a lot of it has to do with how you take care of it. We never beach ours and it never sits out in the sun all day long while it’s not being used.

I know the OP wasn't really asking about adding a second tank for extra capacity, but a few people have mentioned it, so I thought I'd post this. We have 2 skis with a second fuel tank and people always ask how to do it. I drew up this diagram a few years back to show a friend how to do it.

If your detrimined to do it, I wonder if you could turn it upside down like this, and convert a fuel tank vent to a small primer reservoir rather than using a gallon tank.

I'm curious why you want to run the primer off of it's own dedicated line rather than just tee off the supply line?

Good write up. I tried using Colorite a few years back, followed all their directions to the letter, but didn't turn out to well. If I was painting a ski white, is there anything in a spray can that would work well?

I ran the Group K 849 kit for several years, but unfortunately I don't know the jet sizes. When I bought it they set the carbs up for me. I would call them, I would think they would help get you in the ballpark.

I don't know if it's right, but i use a tiny drop of super glue to attach the ends together and then a drop of 1211 on both sides of the joint to seal it when I torque it down. I've never had a leak so far.
