Carb rebuild- will a new diapragm effect jetting? Taper-Bored Carbs

Typically, if you have to turn the high speed screw out more than 1 turn, you should go up in jet size...

Not nearly as common as the building type paint ones, but they're out there.

    Engine paint

I always love the self etching stuff Sherwin Williams sells. I paint my nozzles with that and nothing over it and it lasts forever! But it's like $18 a can and you have to go to the automotive Sherwin Williams to get it.

    Engine paint

For paints to properly stick to aluminum, the aluminum needs to be etched first. There are primers available that are self etching that you just spray on your bare aluminum, then apply your finish paint. Zinc chromate is not self etching. From what I've learned the past few months, it is...

    Power Factor 1100cc Motor?

Yes, Power Factor makes or made Polaris based engines. I had to buy the cylinder head for mine from them.

    650sx build by: my650sux

I do a lot of them and never a complaint. There's not really any benefit to having excessive rotating mass in a jet ski drivetrain. I charge $65 and includes balancing, paint, and return shipping. Send me a message if you're interested.

    650sx build by: my650sux

Didn't see anything about lightening your 61x flywheel... Let me know if you want to do that why the ski is still a project. And an ambitious project at that!

    Carbon build up

What engine? I have zero carbon in my engine after three years. Amsoil and the coating on my pistons keeps it too slippery for carbon to hang around!

Freestyle Water in rear cylinder, crank seal?

Run it in the water with the hood off. See if you have a hose connection leaking and pissing water into your carb. Those pre filters also hurt more than help when they get wet. They hold the water instead of just letting the engine process it, which could be why you see that white for so long...

    Big Li batteries shred starters

You're saying it's plausible for an established battery pack to increase its voltage output when a load is applied, and then go back down when the load is removed...?

    Big Li batteries shred starters

That would be quite the miracle and break through in energy! Sound more like you had a bad starter or something else was not working properly and causing the armature to try to escape its housing...

Super Jet Cooling line quick disconnects

Super Jet Cooling line quick disconnects

"Is this just a 701, or something bigger?" should be the first question. For bigger than 701, I would not recommend the 1/4" disconnects. Maybe heat up the ends of your hoses before pushing them onto the hard lines so they expand some and are easier for the next times... As far as the brass...
