Those who recommend waterski gloves.. I purchased a pair of Obrien and I hated them. Way too thick, no good grip, not comfortable at all. I returned them with little taste of salt on them... I do not recommend these. Jetpilots are great for 2 weeks. Im still in search of the perfect gloves for...

If I understand the meaning of "porpoise" then it means you have some good power on your ski :), from there on its just getting used to it and learning to handle it. try to get your knees closer to the latch of the hood (either surf stance or foot holds) and keep your chest close to the chin pad.

RRP is havier than X, but it looks better imo :). You can seal your hood and use the 2 holes bracket as a breather. RRP does not come with everything as X, and its more expensive. The new style billet RRP is much lighter and it looks even sexier, but much more $$$ :)

It was me and Andrew there that day, Rimas was taking shots of surfers with his Nikon D800 on the south side of the inlet. i don't know if the pic has been enhanced but it's definitely real. The Florida surf past few days has been OFF the hook :)

I will be selling my 2010 SJ heavily reinforced (glass+carbon) hull soon. That is probably the best and strongest surf oriented hull there is :) If you are just getting into standups, I would recommend SJ hull as well. Not too much fun in the flatwater, but in the choppy surf we get here in SE...

We get tickets here (SE Fl) for reckless riding, meaning too much air which is usually within 2ft of height the most :).. at least the tickets are cheap comparo to CA fines
