I finally managed to put my new ski all together and test ride it in the lake.
Hull is Vision 2 -4" built by Watercraft Factory with longer (surf) ride plate. Engine is Big Bore 771 by Jetworks, dual stock 38s Mikuni carbs. Mag pump, msd enhancer, bpipe, 10/16 hooker prop, works...
I pulled coupler off, Kenny keepers off, all cleared plus another ski with different bigbore makes identical sound... I guess ill have to live with it, just not used to it coming from stock smooth 701
Hey guys, I and my buddy have big bore motors built by different builders. Both of them have this knocking sound that causes bigger vibration than a stock 701. The stock 701 runs much smoother and with less vibration. Is that sound normal and common for big bore engines?. What's th feedback on...
Anyone here running that motor with stock 38s? What is the approximate adjustment I should start with? I got the jetting as follows: H 145, L 75, needle/seat 2.0, pop off spring 95 grams. Carbs measured 25 psi pop off pressure.

Yes, they all come gel coated with any color you like, however I wanted that particular fluorescent custom color which is hard to achieve with gel coat.
The paint is House of Kolor and the clear is Dupont. I will have to check what code is the paint. There is a lot of labor involved in the painting of the ski and the materials are expensive as well. In person the ski looks even crazier :)... I cannot hide that I am too excited about that baby...
