Rick, Sounds like your numbers are pretty much were they should be. You aren't going to get much more with stock carbs. We run the timing advane on all of ours without issue, even turning more rpm. Just make sure you get good gas. Around here, we have no problems getting 93oct. SM

Really depends on what you are looking for. Some folks don't like to run r's on the kawis, but prefer to lug them around in the 72-7300 rpm range. We typically run ours above 7600. The speed up top isn't going to be a huge difference, but the acceleration between the two is night and day. SM

On a blaster, the set back does help a little with hook up, the skat is lighter and much more reliable. But, the solas is a deal......... if you can get it to not eat bearings. SM
