I figured I’d dump all my tuning specs on here incase someone in the future was doing some googling and could find it useful or perhaps if @fastgtfairlane finally decides to get Circus and get rid of that badass…
I have found that, surprisingly, both the 780 and the 964 ran excellent on almost...
I was just day dreaming about how much I liked those specific footholds the other day and like mentioned above they were set up with a large amount of padding.
Personally I got so tired of my feet coming out of the holds on my current ski , even with cut wedges, that I’m going back to heel...
Unfortunately with freestyle engines most if not all of them will see water ingestion to some degree and it will shorten the life span of your parts significantly over time depending on the severity.
Stock stroke engines are pretty tough and personally dependent on the value of the top end...
Never sizzled water on me but hot enough to be uncomfortable to touch thru wet gloves after about 5 seconds
Between a 95-110 Jet depending on water temps.
If this doesn’t work try running just one filter, new preferably, or none for a short run. You may have too much restriction in your filter setup to supply your carb at WOT especially after that gunk in the tank.
Pulled the head, no nail catchers, all minor scuffing typical to a freestyle engine with open arrestors.
fogged down real heavy and ready to ship.
For my xh20 friends I’ll do 1600, I’m listing to Facebook this weekend. I’ll even leave the cool bedplates !!!
Funny enough the other day on a buddies ski he was having a very similar issue where the ski would run fine but run out of fuel wot and bog down almost enough to kill the ski.
I’ve seen it where debris would clog up filters before under suction but in his case his filter legitimately just could...
possible. Like I said from what I’m hearing in the videos it sounds like the engine is eating and clearing water when it’s bogging on you but it could be a combination of a few things. The first video the ski sounded very sluggish for the shown setup almost like the prop is too tall. The second...
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to throw a flow controller into that line, any pics of the engine bay?
From the two videos I watched it sounds like water ingestion that clears out after a bit. Do you have any videos of it doing the whole no top end power falling on its face thing? Does it just feel soft...
it’s very possible you’re taking on water from your rrp waterbox during tricks and when landing vertical and that’s what’s causing your hesitation after the fact. I’d be more looking into that rather than a blown o-ring, but you can easily check for that with a compression test. A blown o ring...
