Dustin88 is correct. Get a 96 or newer SJ. The must have mods are B-pipe, footholds, and pole spring (my opinion), bare minimum. That's a good starting platform. You should be able to find one for around $3500 pretty easily.
You are going through a very normal phase. Lots of guys on here were big SXR fans (including myself), and eventually made the move to the SJ. None of us have ever looked back, and neither will you.
I have one on here, but it has music. Its called "I'm no Stoyer, but I have fun". Its a 735 Jetmaniac motor. You would not be disappointed if you bought one.....especially for the price.
Naw man......I think we are all in the same boat. You need to introduce her to your riding buddy's GFs. They can hang, while you ride. That was my solution.
Yeah, he was towed about a half mile, completely submerged. Then threw it on a trailer, pulled plugs, blew out the water, and was back riding in about 15 min. Piece of cake.
